We realize there are young people that have the skill to compete at the select level, but due to economic hardships, their parents/guardians may not have the financial resources that allow them to play. Scholarships provide these young athletes that have shown dedication and citizenship in the classroom a means to participate.
The Fort Worth Flyers Scholarship Program focuses on providing opportunities for area youth to participate in select team sports because of the physical, mental, and character-training benefits these programs can provide. Within the Fort Worth Flyers family, these athletes will build their self-confidence, self-discipline, and become knowledgeable on proper health & nutrition. This is done through the vehicle of mentorship, fundamental athletic training and developmental league play.
Requirements for scholarship eligibility are as follows:
- Athlete must make the team (through the tryout process).
- Athlete must meet a minimum of one of the two criteria…
- Submit an official school report card with at least an accumulative GPA of 2.7 and/or a perfect attendance record.
- Show proof of good citizenship by completing volunteer work in their respective communities, churches or with the Fort Worth Flyers.
- Athlete must agree to the rules within the club and sign the code of conduct.
- Athlete must commit to at least 80% of scheduled practices and games.

Fort Worth Flyers – Scholarship Application
NOTE – These scholarships cover athlete registration as well as uniform costs (excluding shoes). However due to limited amount of funding available for scholarship athletes, no guarantee of assistance is implied in this application. If the number of applications submitted and approved exceeds the amount available; the scholarships shall be awarded by a lottery system. Incomplete applications will not be considered. If an athlete qualifies for scholarship, but doesn’t receive assistance, they will be added to the following upcoming scholarship list.
