8u (2013) – Jamil “The Answer” McCarthy

Jamil McCarthy was the recipient of the “The Golden Lasso” Award for earning straight A’s throughout the entire school year. He also received the “Lucky Horseshoe” Award  for demonstrating the true spirit of a Kay Granger Elementary Wrangler, and the “Walk the Line” award for demonstrating outstanding citizenship throughout the entire school year. He culminated his 3rd grade academic year by achieving a “Level III: Advanced Academic Performance” ranking on his STAAR assessment for reading.
